| 152262 | 2003-06-13 06:14:00 | I have received an e-mail telling me with great authority that I may have a virus in the form of a file "jdbgmgr.exe" , and if so to delete it. I have this file in my Windows\system32 folder. It purports to be a Microsoft Debugger Register . I suspect the real virus is the e-mail telling me to delete a perfectly good programme. Interestingly however the file is shown as being created 28/4/03 and last modified 28/2/03. Any knowledgeable comments? TFYH Graham Bockett |

| 152263 | 2003-06-13 06:21:00 | You are very correct to suspect the email is a hoax. Do a search on jdbgmgr.exe with google and you will see what I mean. Well done for asking questions first rather than after deleting an innocent file. :) |

| 152265 | 2003-06-13 06:26:00 | I forgot to mention that you should contact the sender of that email so they can then retract any other emails sent out to friends/family etc before they are acted on. You could include this link as well: Jdbgmgr.exe file hoax (www.symantec.com) Jen |
