152228 2003-06-13 09:52:00 ?:| Sorry agent. No offence intended.:(

It's the words that are unusual or rare, the meanings are secondary and in this instance they describe phobias, not phobics. I tend to shy away from making light of disabled people.

That's if you are serious of course, nobody took the last lot of WFTWE phobias too much to heart. I'm not knocking you if you are serious though, just a little taken aback that WFTWE could evoke strong emotions. It is decidedly tongue in cheek.

Cheers

152230 2003-06-13 11:22:00 You can have slime without the filth try hopping in a bath full of jelley....nope bad analogy. Lets say Vaseli... nope. Hmm, this is harder than I thought. Anybody got any clean ideas on this?

152231 2003-06-13 11:47:00 Yeah. Some of you guys definitely need to lighten up a little. Have a laugh once in a while, don't take things too seriously.

It seems like everytime Billy makes a WFTWE, someone has a go at Billy about something. What is up with that?!

152233 2003-06-14 00:49:00 Uh.

Don't know what hit me. I don't follow WFTWE much, and this is the first time I've seen one about phobias.

I'm didn't take offense to them, I just thought that perhaps people who had those phobias wouldn't like people laughing at what the phobias mean.

152234 2003-06-14 02:00:00 lol I still don't get it Chill. What are the last two letter mean? PoWa (203)
152235 2003-06-14 02:25:00 agent . Whether Billy intended or not, everyone who visits WFTWE tends to put their own interpetation on the subject and thats cool, its an open forum . My interpretation is that its a light hearted series with a serious twist for those who want to intellectualise the subject .

I think WFTWE also serves a valuable societal roll for PF1 posters who have had a hard grind at the coal face the preceeding week, hence some steam letting, as evidenced by the content of some of the posts . Whether thats intended as well or not I think is irrelevant, its what it does .

I don't think blander and safer subject matter would elicit the same broad range of responses . I hope Billy continues to choose words for their aesthetic values and suprising meanings rather than vetting them (entirely) on the the basis of being pc .

You also have your standards and you need to interpret things based on those . So, no harm done IMHO :)

152236 2003-06-14 02:44:00 >I don't follow WFTWE much

WHAT :O :O :O :O :O :O

I can cope with criticism of my weird sense of humour agent, and I can live with the odd attack by people who assume anything they didn't think of or haven't done personally is absolute nonsense, but a blatant confession that you don't just mark time through each week waiting for Friday and the next WFTWE has me flabbergasted. :(

That cuts my audited readership down to single figures, and I'm not sure the dog can read, so that takes the numbers even lower. Much more of this and I'll have to get a job.:D

Cheers
