152354 2003-06-13 11:42:00 Hi folks,

I know how to print only the selected part of a document, but is it possible to select 2 or 3 portions of a document and print as one page? I was thinking of a keyboard shortcut to select the 2nd portion while retaining the already selected portion above it. Something like Ctrl while clicking and highlighting.

I know I could cut and paste, but I thought this might be easier.

Thanks all.

152356 2003-06-13 11:52:00 I think you are out of luck there it is either print the whole doc or what you have selected and you can not have disjointed selects. mikebartnz (21)

152358 2003-06-13 21:13:00 What program and version are you using? In Word XP, 2003, and I think perhaps even Word 2000 you can select different parts of the document, and then you can Print Selection.

152359 2003-06-13 21:15:00 Hmmm... okay I was wrong - although you can select multiple parts of the document, you can't print selection.

But because you can select multiple parts you can just copy once and into a new document then print.

152360 2003-06-14 00:28:00 Is it not possible to select the first part then save it to a file then select the next part and save that to the same file etc. etc then print the file? I don't know - never tried it. Garibaldi (3838)
152361 2003-06-14 10:33:00 Couldn't you save the doc and then REMOVE the sections you did not want, and then print? Rod ger (316)
152362 2003-06-14 10:38:00 Hey I know! :D How about you print the WHOLE document, then get a twink pen and twink out the stuff you don't want :p

152363 2003-06-14 16:06:00 The reason I started this thread was, I have another thread with 22 replies about fixing an off site computer, and I need to take some of the replies that look like they might work, with me.

I tried all the suggestions above, and the only way I could achieve a printout of the relevant replies from the 22, was to open a new document then copy and paste the ones I require. All other methods resulted in copying all the useless info as well.

Thanks for your suggestions lads.
