| 152302 | 2003-06-13 08:37:00 | When you say "attachments in Word will not open", can you explain exactly what happens when you try to open them? | godfather (25) | ||
| 152303 | 2003-06-13 08:42:00 | Also what version of Word do you have, and what version has created the attachment? Later versions of Word will open documents created on earlier versions but not always the other way round. It depends on how the sender saved the document. |

Word 2002 will open anything, as Word 2003 is still in testing. Thats assuming there actually is an attachment, some people are forgetful about attaching the file! Sorry, can't help beyond there. I gave up on Outlook Express years ago due to its complexities when I only needed a simple e-mail that works. |

| 152307 | 2003-06-13 11:49:00 | If the paperclip is greyed out and you cannot access/save it, try this instead ... On the email with the attachment click Forward and see whether you can then open it up from the attachement line. If it does open, try saving it from there. These attachment definitely have a .doc extension? There is no tick under the Tools > Options > Security as Godfather said earlier? Jen |
