152664 2003-06-15 03:27:00 Everytime I turn my computer on the clock would be the year 2004 while the date and the time would be normal? What is causing this?
How do I fix it?

152665 2003-06-15 04:20:00 Does the battery in the motherboard only keep track of your time? What would happen if i take the battery out?
Would u think the time change is to do with the battery? But wouldn't the time be slower than fasteR?

152666 2003-06-15 04:30:00 Just get to one of the date/time setting panels, and correct the year.

Your battery is OK and the hardware clock is working correctly. But it only ever changes the year (and century :D) bytes in the CMOS memory on rare occasions (like on Dec 31/Jan 1). Once you have the wrong year set, it will stay wrong. :D
