| 152594 | 2003-06-15 01:19:00 | I had a wee problem a wee while ago with kmail, where it appeared to me that the ~/mail directory had become corrupted, I based this conclution on the fact that after changing the name of the ~/mail directory, which forced kmail to create a replacement, kmail ran fine. I have changed my guess on this as the problem has reaccured, and i have a new therie that this is happening because the ~/mail directory gets too full. Searching google failed to find discussion on similar problems, so i ask here instead. Is the sudden refusal of kmail to run a problem others have had?? .Chris |

| 152596 | 2003-06-15 09:41:00 | I'm wondering if another mail app messed with the folder. kmail uses the maildir format, while most apps still use the mbox format to store messages. |

| 152597 | 2003-06-15 10:44:00 | It seems that if i slowly move the files and associated directorys from the old ~/mail directory to the working one, i can keep it working long enough to delete, save info and attachments etc. The trouble is that the moment i try to edit the rules it crashes, so it looks like i'll be editing the files by hand, just so i can keep the programme working without actually picking up email..... I have swapped to evolution, an email client i like better anyway! .Chris |
