152648 2003-06-17 09:33:00 Oops ! I may have jumped the gun - the message actually says:
We can really use your help testing Mozilla 1.4 Release Candidate 1.

This probably means that it is a trial meantime (therefore not for newbies like me). Everything looks similar - yet so different !

152649 2003-06-17 09:41:00 Reading this "Blonde" thread prompts me to ask, Anybody heard from Baldy lately????? PJ Poppa John (284)
152650 2003-06-17 09:46:00 Did you download Mozilla or Mozilla Firebird? That message refers to the Mozilla browser suite (includes email client) and not the Mozillla Firebird browser.

See here (http://www.mozilla.org/) for the differences. In the browser if you go Help > About it will tell you what browser version you have.

PS* why do you feel the need to apologise for using WinME. If looked after well it will look after you :)

I think that last thing I read was that he was going to quite Press f1, I am not too sure if that is true ?:| ?:|

The lasted post Baldy made was on the 24 of May 2003 & it was in that “An apology to the forum thread”

152653 2003-06-17 10:09:00 THanks Susan.Looks like I'll be using M Firebird now instead of Mozilla 1.3 ! Neil McC (178)
152654 2003-06-27 09:28:00 Have checked and fortunately I do have Mozilla Firebird - it is a novel experience as I do not seem to control (at this stage) which browser is going to run - IE or Firebird. I get the message, at times, would I like IE to be the default browser and when I say no it still runs. At other times Firebird just comes to the fore. Will keep monitoring and try to work out patterns. Still, it is an interesting sideline !

Keep saying no, clear IE's cache, etc. In Firebird, Tools > Options > General and check Set Default Browser. Tranfer your favourites to Firebirds Bookmarks by Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Import. Thats if Firebird hasn't already asked to do so and you have :)

152656 2003-06-27 10:02:00 I should have added Misty that I've only been using Mozilla for about a week so, I'm not exactly a veteren but, no harm will be done by trying the above.
