We get it, your not happy with anybody about anything, so give us all a break and stop making this forum such a negative whingy place, for goodness sake .

As one of the mods said if you want to constantly whinge and moan about (the same) stuff find somewhere else to do it .

I take it you have a vested interest in these Shonkey deals . :groan:

However, you’ll find that the article you dislike is published by the sponsors of this site to advise the public what is going on .

Good on Fairfax for bringing these matters to our attention .

And have you appointed yourself as the Sites Resident Stalker?

You will note the majority of people who respond to the threads don't have a problem with them, but you always do .

And who paid for that "Research". ;)

Why on earth do you keep coming to his posts if you find them so tedious and being tedious yourself .
It is pathetic .

Well, between "them" and "us", I'll take a punt on the short answer. This may well be the intent of the Hansard character list; while the peasants squabble the over the trough the sucky few can leisurely pillage the larder and the silver drawer.

1315520 2012-11-29 21:47:00 Surely they would have to come up with actual proof of these sites, not just saying there is a possibility, a bit of bone found does not constitute a village or burial ground. If there are undisputed sites negotiations could then take place. A camping ground used on on a seasonal basis would not be a site in my mind.:(:( Arnie (6624)
1315521 2012-11-29 22:17:00 Hang about. This is only a proposal and there are three months for public submissions. We can be sure there will be vigorous objections. Also the original list had 400 possible sites which the council reduced to 40 - and that number might finally become 10 - or nil.

Its hard to see why ancient Maori sites shouldn't be preserved and the council are not saying houses have to be removed. The law already says that if an archaeological site is found anywhere in NZ then you have to proceed with notification and caution.

And that is my point exactly, that your persistent themes are driving people from this forum and turning it into something that it is not meant to be and never was.
