| 1314630 | 2012-11-26 02:28:00 | I've always burnt easily and do not burn any more now than at any time in the past. If anything I burn a lot less because I've gotten more cautious but I know if I go out in the sun unprotected for more than about 15 mins there's a good chance I'll get burnt, that's the same as it's always been for me. I can get burnt through a shirt on a cloudy day! As for the fishing thing a lot of people get burnt out on the water, the reflected sunlight increases the UV exposure. The hole in the ozone layer is a bit controversial, there are arguments on both sides as to whether the hole is growing or not and whether it's an entirely natural thing for it to be thinner near the poles or it's caused by ozone depleting gases. We definately get more UV than more northerly locations and so we burn more but that might just be normal for the planet. |

You need to remember that it has only been measured since about 1952 so hardly long enough to understand it at all. |
