1339866	2013-05-06 07:52:00	Replaced the faulty video card (as mentioned in my other post) with another old card, POST went through OK. After POST, the following error pops up: "The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computer checksum" Tried to boot with a Win7 install DVD produces same results. 1339867	2013-05-06 07:56:00	Looks like you can get this error message if one of your ram sticks are faulty. If there's more than 1 stick, install one stick at a time. See which one lets you boot into windows. If you could get into windows before (with the old card), did you uninstall the drivers, before you installed the new card? It may also be corrupt videocard drivers. If it boots into safe mode / remove the entries for the old card in startup	Speedy Gonzales (78)

Removed the battery -> clear CMOS Pushed the power button -> one single sweet beep -> POST display on the screen -> Pressed Del to enter BIOS -> reset system time/date, etc., -> Saved and Exit BIOS. Windows 7 Home Premium loads perfectly! :) But, ..... don't understand why! just by luck?	bk T (215)

1339872	2013-05-06 10:09:00	Could be -- you have to remember that everything is connected in one way or another to the motherboard. It only takes one component to do something silly, like blow up and it can have a ripple through effect to other settings or components. Fault finding is not always easy, esp when you don't have the culprit in front of you to check on what may be causing the problem. Good that you got it going again :thumbs:	wainuitech (129)
