1339806 2013-05-06 02:51:00 Friend bought a PC (second-hand) off Trademe 2 months ago and unfortunately the Asus ENGTS450 video card is dead.

Is there a way to check the warranty status of this video card? Obviously he hasn't got any receipt whatsoever to prove of purchase.

Advice is appreciated.

Thanks

1339807 2013-05-06 02:55:00 Don't see how. May be best to take the plunge and just get a cheap card if not used for gaming or even switch to the onboard if it has it gary67 (56)
1339808 2013-05-06 02:58:00 The card should have a serial number on it somewhere on a sticker.

Sign up an account at Asus and register the serial number. If it's in warranty it should tell you.

1339810 2013-05-06 03:18:00 Can they contact the seller from TradeMe and ask them where they bought it from? CYaBro (73)
1339811 2013-05-06 04:07:00 If there's no # on the card, which seems a bit odd as most people throw away the box even when told not to, but keep it for warranty purposes.

The Card if brought originally In NZ comes with a Three year manufactures warranty.

1339813 2013-05-06 06:08:00 Problem is, there's no seria nol sticker on the card, even their website indicated that the serial no is on the box! :( bk T (215)
