2013-05-05 23:32:00 | Over recent weeks a few times my Panasonic DVR has recorded a program at the wrong time. The Freeview website is useless for getting support of this nature, so I wondered if anyone else has experienced this. The question is whether it is a problem with my device, the Freeview EPG or the broadcaster. Any ideas?

That [B]could[B] be it, but my reading of the item makes me think the problem would be pretty general in that case, whereas I have only had it with a couple of shows, a couple of times. I've posted a question on their website -t will be interesting to see what they say (if anything, as I am not a customer). |

2013-05-06 02:19:00 | www.geekzone.co.nz It's this issue here, which is the same as the dishtv one. I think I read somewhere it is now resolved.

2013-05-06 02:53:00 | freeviewforum.co.nz If you read to the end of the thread Panasonic claim to have fixed with a silent update a few days ago. This issue also affected my Panasonic XW-380. I think it started around the time of DLS ending and for me it affected channels one and two. Things I'd set to record at 7.30pm or 8.30pm via the EPG were recording at weird times like 1.39am. I've not noticed any probs in the last few days, which coincides with this fix going live.

2013-05-06 05:19:00 | It certainly looks like the same thing. The only difference for me is that I have had it happen on TV3 - the forum posts say it is TV1 and 2, and I thought (I may be wrong) that it pre-dated the daylight saving change. Still, it will be interesting to see if it is all fixed now. Thanks everyone for the links.

2013-05-06 05:32:00 | There's an intermittent fault with my Panasonic DVR. Maybe about once per 3 months it will power on and commence a programmed recording. But every time, within the first minute of recording it shuts down... not into standby mode, but completely off, requiring the power button on the unit to bring it back to life. Naturally any other programmed recordings are missed as well during this off time. Gotta be a software issue in my opinion, as the behaviour is always the same.

2013-05-06 08:26:00 | Hi Tony. Well the link I had in my bookmarks for my own reference about this issue doesn't work anymore, and that one was much more detailed. It was also to the freeview forums but it was a post that began earlier than the one I linked to in my above comment. \In the original posts I saw on it others were saying it also affected Choice TV and a few other freeview channels; I just can't remember if anyone mentioned channel 3 specifically. I've a feeling they did, but it was mainly 1 and 2. Also in that original post everyone seemed to have a Panasonic 380, but it appears from this other thread that it's other models too. I can't remember if mine starting acting up before DLS; if it did it wasn't much before it. Anyway hopefully it's fixed for everyone now. :) | catspyjamas (15614) | |
