| 1314925 | 2012-11-26 07:53:00 | Are you a gamer or have even a remote passing association with gaming, read on. If you are not this is not a post for you, move along :) I have a problem. In December I have a nice long holiday booked that I am very much looking forward too. My problem is most of you know I am a gamer, and I am "between" games right now with nothing due out that remotely interests me for a long time. Usually I can remedy this by replaying older games but again I have just done that also for the ones I want to play and everything else has been played too recently to catch my interest again. It has been years since I have found myself with nothing to play. I need any and all suggestions for older games I may not have considered before. PC Only, not interested in consoles. Please do not suggest other methods to fill the time. While there are other things I will be doing during this time this is a game problem and it can only be solved with a game or I will be miserable and so will anyone unfortunate enough to be around me. |

This World of Tanks sounds interesting and I will check it out, but its plain that you are either trolling or just ignorant and I really don't need that right now so run along. |

Some that I've played and enjoyed; FPS The fear series Serious SAM 3 Wolfenstein (the most recent one) RTS Supreme Commander - first one is better than the sequel Still in my opinion but both are good RPG If you can handle the older style graphics then the Baldurs Gate series and Neverwinters nights will eat a lot of time. I couldn't get into NWN 2 though, mainly because I was playing wow by that stage WoW - free to try to level 20 but a 20Gig plus download SWTOR - I think it's free now too. I enjoyed it a lot for a few weeks but then lost interest. Driving - I mainly like Arcady fun driving games over realistic simulators Flatout 1,2, and ultimate carnage - solo ultimate carnage is the one but for multiplayer LAN fun flatout 2 wins Blur |

Sega Rally Championship 2 (2nd or 3rd best racing game ever imo) Outrun 2007 (includes classic versions of the game as well) RTS Starcraft: BroodWar Age of Empires: Rise of Rome Age of Empires II Impossible Creatures RPG Morrowind if you don't mind the graphics take a look at daggerfall too, If you hate the graphics look into oblivion FPS Medal of Honor: Airborne (if you can look past not being able to scope and move) Battlefield 1942 (free on origin) Battlefield 2 Battlefield Bad Company 2 (the best multiplayer shooter I have ever played) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (The best the COD franchise has produced to date) Halo: CE Sports Anything FiFA Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2/3/4 and Underground 1/2 |

Basically after suggestions for a game that maybe surprised you as it was a lot better than you thought when you played it. FPS are usually a last resort for me although I will play the odd one, Sports, no interest. Thanks for the replies I have a few in these lists to check out :) |
