152938 2003-06-16 09:12:00 Is there a way to create short cuts for entering text into a dialog box...

for example... an email address....

instead of manually typing in "joebloggs@nosuchaddress.com" every time I want to log in, is there a way I can set up a key combination (ie.. shift + F8) for it to do this automatically....

Thanks in advance for any or all help....

152939 2003-06-16 09:43:00 I know in Microsoft Outlook you can type in
" Joe" & that person e-mail address goes in, but you have to have that e-mail address in your address book.

152940 2003-06-16 12:33:00 ... I actually meant e-mail in internet explorer...ie Hotmail. I was just wondering if there was any way to assign custom keypress' or key combinations to work so I don't have to enter my email address every time I am logging in....

Thank you for your help though....

anyone else with any ideas....?

152941 2003-06-16 20:06:00 Open Internet Explorer
Tools > Internet Options > Content (Tab)
Click Autocomplete
Put a tick in Forms
Usernames and Passwords in Forms
Prompt me to save Passwords (if this appeals to you IE will also save your password)
Go to Hotmail and fill in your details then login
Next time you go back you should be able to see your username there and waiting for a password.

Alternatively, depending on your Cookie Settings, most websites will be able to give you a cookie to automatically login every time.
This will work with most login sites and forms.
