152891 2003-06-16 05:28:00 hi,
when playing medal of honour allied assault on my new computer p4 c 800 deluxe M/B leadtech fx 500 128 ram with 1G ddr 400
the computer randomly shut off by itself. I tried to restart the computer by pushing the power button but nothing happened, and i had to manaually switch the computer back on by turning the switch off then back on at the power point then pushing the power button on the harddrive.
When attempting to play medal of honour again when the computer has started up again, a message comes up stating that medal of honour had crashed the last time played. It says "This could be due to conflicts between hardware devices on your PC. Running Allied Assault in "safe mode" will select more stable options." Even after applying "safe mode" the computer crashes like before.
Does anyone have/had this problem, and could be of any help to me in resolving this issue.
Thankyou.

152892 2003-06-16 06:30:00 Ok. What graphics card do you have? The game may be to data intensive and may have put to much pressure on the processor. Have you got the latest driver for your graphics card?. I could also be a problem with the PSU. If it has an error code, try the Microsoft help website or try and reinstall the game as It may have a corrupted .dll and this could be causing it. It would pay to go and take it to a computer specialist Tux (606)
152893 2003-06-16 06:44:00 HI Tux, Graphics card is Leadtek FX5600 128 ram. It had the latest drive installed. The PSu is 300w.
Thank you.

152894 2003-06-16 08:22:00 There is some help for this issue on the EA Website (eatech.custhelp.com).

From the product drop down list- select 'medal of honour'. Then Select 'Search'.

Please Note:- If you do insteed have a P4 system do not follow the fix with '**VIA Motherboard** in the heading.

152897 2003-06-16 11:23:00 mmmmm.....nice system (nice $$$ tag to ;-) ) however a 300w PSU is really on the light side. i would suggest minimum 350w or even a 400w. tweak'e (174)
152898 2003-06-16 22:55:00 thanks tweak's for the suggestion i think i may upgrade to 350w or even 400w later on.
while you are on, i need some other suggestion if you can on Canon printer i950 and i850 for my digital camera and general printout for my home soho use. Im not a proffesional photo prinout, i only need to use it occasionally. if you have any advise or experience on these two, or other printers you can recommend on value and quality, all suggestions will be appreciated.
thankyou
