| 152888 | 2003-06-16 05:21:00 | I have a PCMCIA Firewire Card that goes into my laptop, and a Sony DV Video Camera. On my old laptop I just needed to plug it all in and the computer picked the camera up straight away, however I dont seem to be able to get my new computer to see it. The camera recognises that the computer it plugged in, so there doesn't seem to be any hardware problems. I am using Win XP Pro etc and under device manager there is something called "1394 Net Adapter" that isn't able to start. I am unsure if this is causing my problem but I have tried everything I know to get it started but no luck. MS told me to go elsewhere, so I come to you. Thanks |

| 152890 | 2003-06-16 07:11:00 | I have tried un-installing and re-installing the PCI card controller, the IEEE 1394 bus controller and the 1394 Net Adapter, along with other things. I have also looked to the manufactors websites to no avail. Does anyone know anything else I can try? | sk8e8 (3994) | ||
