| 153096 | 2003-06-17 07:47:00 | Hey peoples, how you all going?? how you are all feeling well!!:) well anywayz, i was wondering if you could use a MSN email on outlook express? and would anyone know how to set it up? my parents are wanting it, they have there old email set-up in outlook express, but they want there new one to be set-up i there! u get what i mean? lolz, soz if u dont but yeah, so, does anyone know how i can set-up a MSN email on oulook express and how to get rid of an old profile on outlook?? any help appreciated! | 153097 | 2003-06-17 07:59:00 | If you mean MSN as in hotmail, yes you can get it to go to OE but when I was searching the hotmail options the other day, it said you had to have OE6 to get it to work. Well I only have 5.5 and get it, but no way could I set it up for my niece the other day, as it kept telling me that I needed OE6. So good luck, but go into their email and look at the options or put a search in for OE from within a hotmail account. ?:| | supergran (108) | ||

| 153099 | 2003-06-17 08:36:00 | In OE just go to Tools - Accounts - Add - Mail and type in the Hotmail address in the right box. Follow the wizard through and the Hotmail account will be set up in OE. I am not familiar with @msn.com but maybe someone else may know. |

| 153103 | 2003-06-18 05:26:00 | Go into Outlook Express Tools > Accounts Click on the Add Button and Click Mail Enter A Display Name and Click Next Enter an Email Address and Click Next Mail Server Setup: The incoming Mail Server is 'HTTP' My HTTP Mail Service Provider is 'Other' Incoming Mail Server: "oe.msn.msnmail.hotmail.com without the quote marks Click Next Account Name - this is the username you use to log into hotmail with including @msn.com If you want it saved then fill it in and select Remember Password Click Next Click Finish That's it! In Outlook Express you will see new folders - these are the folders from the Hotmail Server. You can copy messages to them, move messages from them, send and receive as per usual. CyberChuck |
