153011 2003-06-16 23:35:00 I'm running Norton antivirus Pro 2003 on all 20 machines in my network.

I am having trouble with the definition alert constantly alerting me that my definitions are out of date- except for the server, it will update itself in the background, I assume this is because it has a direct internet connection.

can I get the rest of the machines to autolive update over the network?

or stop definition alert and I will update manually.

153013 2003-06-17 09:27:00 For 20 computers I'd download the updates manually and roll them out yourself. Or see if there is a way so that the other computers get the latest defs off the server. -=JM=- (16)
153014 2003-06-19 05:52:00 Updating manually is fine
I need to stop the machines from trowing up the warning when the definitions are out of date.

This is really annoying the people trying to use the machines.

all machines connect though the server that is running Jana admin proxy server

153015 2003-06-19 06:00:00 Isn't there anything in the settings to disable the warning? Surely there must be......? Susan B (19)
153016 2003-06-19 22:26:00 Thats what I'm trying to find out

I've been over the settings again and again but I can't put my finger on it.

I was hopeing someone might have know the answer.

I've been to the norton site and all through the help but still can't figure it out.

The only other way is to get the machines to auto live update when ever on line just like the server but I can't seem to get them to do it through a network, Only if they have a direct internet connection.

any thoughts?
