152921 2003-06-16 06:55:00 Hi Team
I downloaded a few mp3 and then converted to wav with nero and attempted to burn to disk. the first track and the last track were fine but... from track 2 to track 9 [penultimate track] only 30 secs of music were recorded, then the rest of the track time played out as per the music selection. Im using win98se

152922 2003-06-16 08:42:00 Were tracks 2 to 9 by the same artist from a very recent CD not available here yet? If so you 've probably downloaded a pre release sample that although it shows the full lenght of the song only has the first 20/30 secs of actual music. An example Michelle Branch 's new Cd Hotel Paper has all the tracks listed on Kazaa & others. But they are not the full tracks. The CD itself is not released till late this month but obviously some dick has copied the pre release sample & made it available for others to d/load .Whether this is intentional or not who knows. amyes5 (2773)

152926 2003-06-20 09:01:00 there are three types of wav forms they are:
-DVI/IMA ADPCM wav files
-Microsoft ADPCM wav files
-Windows PCM wav files

no the most common wav that works on many cdplayers are Windows PCM wav files, does nero encode the mp3 to Windows PCM wav files or to any of the other two wav files? If not then u'll most probably have to download some sort of audio convertor from the net. I would use Cool Edit Pro but that costs a bit of cash.

cheers,

152927 2003-06-20 11:58:00 Convert the mp3's with Cdex (http://www.cdex.n3.net) if you like. PoWa (203)
152928 2003-06-20 22:31:00 If you ask NERO to burn an audio CD it will automatically convert to *wav and will play on a CD player. No manual pre-burn conversion is nescessary veterannz (960)
152929 2003-06-20 22:34:00 If you ask NERO to burn an audio CD as opposed to a data CD, it will automatically convert to *wav and will play on a CD player. No manual pre-burn conversion is nescessary veterannz (960)
