| 152880 | 2003-06-16 04:53:00 | I cant seem to get my hard drive ready for new system.had xp pro.went to linux...want to return to xp pro.ran fdisk. copied SYS files to active partition.but i cant seem to remember how to tidy it all up so i can put the xpPro back on.keep getting message about it being busy reading a drive. Can any one refresh my memory as to the proper method...thanx WKD Willie |

| 152882 | 2003-06-16 05:50:00 | You should be able to boot the XP CD, and install it. Microsoft will offer to partition and format the disk, won't it? Let it. Your reference to "SYS" files suggests you are trying to make the HD a DOS system. Why? XP doesn't want it. :D Just set the BIOS so it will boot from the CD and you should be OK. | Graham L (2) | ||
