The predicted cold snap yesterday didn't eventuate (warmer in Palmerston North yesterday than it was the previous two days), but today is really bitter. It snowed lightly for a few minutes around 10am, and I've had the fire going since lunchtime. Sitting here wearing a beanie too! Told my other half that if it's still this cold tonight, I'm going to find something to match it to wear to a friend's party! Let them laugh I say, at least I'll be warm! | write-click (2248) | ||

| 153240 | 2003-07-05 22:13:00 | and in our district Central North Island 20 thousand homes with out power around district and most central roads closed over nite and we had people stay here cos they couldnt get home, roads blocked, and our friend the powerco man has had to fly (helicopter) into certain areas to find the faults as theirs no access, and he said yesterday while working he came back to his 4x4 ute and the back tray was full of snow and his tools were underneath............. bbbbbbbbrhhhhhhh and the sun is shinning but its cold today, fine and brisk.... and my brother has snow all around his house and he's only an hour from here. beetle |
