| 153418 | 2003-06-18 12:25:00 | Hi everyone. I have a niggling little issue I would like to resolve with my keyboard. When playing games etc & using the keyboard occaisonally it appears as though the key must be stuck down. For example, pressing the key to move forward works, but sometimes after releasing it the game continues to move until I press the key again to stop it. It is only an intermittent problam but still very annoying. System Specs O/S : Win XP Pro SP1 M/B : Chaintech 7NJL1 Summit Socket A Nvidia nForce 2 Chipset CPU : Athlon XP2200 RAM : 2*Hynix 512 DDR2700 K/B & Mouse : Belkin Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Graphics : Chaintech Geforce 4 MX440 A-G448 64MB DDR RAM, TV Out |

Open control panel -> Open Accessibility Options -> Keyboard tab Uncheck "use sticky keys" if it is on. Also go into the 'settings' for every thing in Accessibility Options, and uncheck "use shortcut". If thats not the problem, I would try looking at the games's guide or settings in there, to see if it is an actual feature of the game itself. Or look in the .cfg files, in the game folder. What is the game??? |

I was going to suggest throwing away the KB,but by the looks of it not every body is as clever as myself and uses disposable hardware. ....................................HA Maybe possible to remove the keys from the board and give them a spring clean. Only that is if crud is whats causing the problem,....my last kb i could flip it over and give it a whack, there would be enough gunk fall out of it to feed a state house load of South Aucklander's for a week. |

Pressing the key again might just make the game relise that the key isn't pressed any more. Might pay to take note of which games its happining on...you might find its the same game doing it all the time. |

| 153422 | 2003-06-18 22:46:00 | it happens in pretty much any FPS game, 1942, CS, SoF2 etc as well as in GTA3 Will look at the sticky keys & check that. As a side note it has only happened since I put the k/b & mouse combo on this new box. Worked fine on my older machine |
