153566 2003-06-19 08:49:00 Can someone please tell me how I can delete my Hotmail buddies in OE without them being deleted in my MSN Messenger? I downloaded PrivateBase and added all my contacts from OE, but when I add all the MSN Buddies to PB then delete them in OE they are deleted in Messenger. Going dizzy here. There must be a way around it. So if anyone can help me please in plain English. Thanks. Lucy (182)
153567 2003-06-19 09:36:00 I simply make sure I am offline then delete them from within OE! Chilling_Silently (228)

You don’t really need PrivateBase to add your contacts in. Just copy & past the address in to messenger via add contact

That will solve your problem
then you will not need to worry about when you delete your contact OE.

153569 2003-06-19 09:50:00 I have all the addresses already in Messenger. But they are also added to OE automatically. Lucy (182)
153570 2003-06-19 09:57:00 If you're trying to stop them from being re-added, you've got a mission there...
Try just changing the nicknames in the address book to something similar, like a '-' for all of them :-)

153571 2003-06-19 10:01:00 Just tried deleting one of them offline in OE, didn't work, when I came back on-line the address was back again!! :_| Lucy (182)

I know that was not going to work :p :D, all I can suggest is that you have a backup of your contacts & your msn list( which you can do it version 5 & 6 in msn messenger, have a look under File)
