| 154142 | 2003-06-22 02:53:00 | Hi I am not sure, but i think this question maybe asked by someone before hmm I got a network card installed in there and also in operation, but now that whenever i turn on the windows Me, there is a login screen to tell me to login, if i press ok, it can let me use, but when i press cancel, nothing comes out.. So what should I do in order to turn off that login screen as i don't need to use password anyway!!! And also, one more question, in Windows XP, we know that who is the computer administrator for this computer, how do we know who is the administor for Windows Me. Thanks for the help jacky |

If you go in to Control Panel > Users, Then a user list show up (if that does not show up please e-mail me stuartw77 at hotmail dot com) then delete all the users, then you will get a message asking if you want to do that says yes (but make sure you do not have any thing that you need in either of the account listed in the user list e.g. my docs Favourites etc ) Then that login box should not show up, any more. Hope this helps > And also, one more question, in Windows XP, we know > that who is the computer administrator for this > computer, how do we know who is the administor for >Windows Me. In Windows Me or 98/95 there is No administor, That administor system is used throw out NT, which XP is based on. Hope that answers your question |

| 154146 | 2003-06-22 05:32:00 | Hi Stu Thanks for the reply According to the computer, this is a clean install on Windows Me, once the installed is finalized. I haven't tell the computer to use the login screen and it just shows up itself... but looking at the control menu, under user, at the moment, there is no list of user there. it just shows make a user name and also ur next message said click on password icon, yes everybody is using the same preference. so i wouldn't think this is involved here But the question mark for me, when I click network icon under control panel, and then around the middle, where i can scroll to for the list of option. At the moment, i got "Client for Microsoft Networks". is it this thing that make tell me to use login screen? should i choose to the option instead!?!??? Thanks and much appreciated Jacky |
