not nagging, but youre talking to a comptuer illeteraite person here,

but these system configurations mean not much to me,

the basics are even too much, for me at moment.

what are the systems being used for? (the others ones i mean)

153994 2003-06-21 07:50:00 the other systems on the product list?

The Entertainer is a more advanced computer capable of playing games(faster cpu,g4mx,larger harddrive,cd burner, better motherboard)............and the MaxPower system is another rung up the ladder(even faster cpu,6xusb,512mb ddr,6 channel audio,128mb g4ti)

All of which is complete overkill for a basic office machine.

153997 2003-06-21 12:25:00 All parts are sourced through an importer in Auckland and assembled by me, here in Wanganui.

As all machines are designed with winxp in mind 256mb ddr is the minimum they can be supplied with, xp sucks up the ram. Besides, 128mb sticks of ddr aren't that common, and ram is just about the cheapest component in a system nowadays.

The basic home/business machine is as named, a basic home or business machine, Plenty of grunt for the office but lacking in graphical abilities.... But there's a market out there of home users that don’t want to play unreal: the awakening, hence its suitability as either.

pci slots are what your expansion cards plug into(modem, controllers, etc etc)the agp slot is there so if anyone who in the future wants to add a video card and bypass the onboard video can do so.

Hairong atx is indeed the case, now supplied with 400w power supplies.
