153818 2003-06-20 09:50:00 Hi. I use Jetstream, and if I want to log into Jetstreamgames I simply change the username in the popup box when I connect. With my no-name brand modem it's real easy.

But I'm trying to assist my brother to login using his Nokia Ni500 - it's set up to auto login using his usual ID - how can I change the existing login ID to username@jetstreamgames.co.nz? And/or is there a way to create an alternative login setup so that he can disconnect and then reconnect, using an alternative connection vis a vis a new dial-up-networking connection?

He's using Win2K Server 3.

Thx

153820 2003-06-20 11:33:00 HI Greg,
I have only managed to work out how to do this myself with ni500 / XP Pro / jetstart / xtra setup.

Click start, run.
Type "telnet 192.168.7.1" OK
Type "i500" enter
Type "ppp 1 welogin user@jetstreamgames.co.nz password" (password can be anything, I made up a 8 character password) enter
Type "config save" enter
Type "restart"
Modem will disconnect from Xtra and reconnect in few minutes.

Now to change dns settings
Double click on network icons in taskbar
Click Properties, the highlight "internet protocol (tcp/ip)
Click properties
Overtype the preferred DNS server to "203.96.91.1"
Ok, then close.

To connect back to Xtra just repeat steps but change username (your original ISP username) and dns to 202.27.184.3 (this is xtra dns, just make sure you know what your isp dns is)

done

I have not played any games on this server mainly because I dont know how, and I don't have any of the games that are there anyway. I managed to use the above to download files/games at full jetstream speed.
