2003-06-22 00:47:00 | Annanz - if you are looking just to update your GeForce video drivers you do not need to flash the bios. I think you have been confused by the Leadtek site having a bios flash available on the same page where you can download their video card drivers from. I have the same card but in the 64 MB flavour and I just get my updated drivers from the nVidia site. You can get the latests for XP from here (www.nvidia.com). Download the driver to your desktop and then go into Add/Remove and remove your current nVidia driver. Reboot the PC - warning: it will look at bit ugly because you will be using default drivers. Then double-click on the downloaded nVidia driver and it will go off and install itself. Reboot when asked. You can then remove the saved driver installer off the desktop as it is no longer required. You may also wish to get Directx9a as well: download from here (www.microsoft.com). Read the installation instructions and comment about Directx9a removal.

2003-06-22 01:18:00 | Thanks for all your adivce JenC and everyone else who has helped.. Are the Nvidea reference driver better to get than Leadtek drivers??? | Annanz (3044) | |
2003-06-22 01:43:00 | leadtek do tend to tweak their drivers and have a few addons so i would try the leadtek ones first. just be carefull if you use the winfox toll as you will need to get the updated winfox as well. old winfox dosn't always work with new drivers includeing the nvidia dets. | tweak'e (174) | |
2003-06-22 01:44:00 | The nVidia reference drivers will always be the latest version. The nVidia has version 44.03 (released in May), whilst Leadtek has the version 43.51 version (released by nVidia in March). So if you want the latest version use the nVidia site.

2003-06-22 04:28:00 | Been looking at the Leadtek web site trying to figure out what Winfox is. Still don't have a clue what it is. Since my card has got WinFast MyVIVO do I need to install these driver before installing the Update drivers for my card.. It just becoming more confusing. Do I still need to install WinFast MyVIVO then Winfast PVR from this link www.leadtek.com.tw Then after I install the files from the above link should I then install Geforce4 A280 series Drivers. www.leadtek.com.tw
