153999 2003-06-21 06:18:00 I share the modem in my Windows 98se machine with a second PC.

The modem sharing works fine until I turn on iHugs Ultra service at which point I can no longer access the internet from my second PC.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks

154000 2003-06-21 07:51:00 From memory when I used Ultra I think you can only set up your modem OR your satellite card for internet connection sharing. If you want to share the high speed internet you would need to nominate the satellite card. Willie (1947)
154001 2003-06-21 07:53:00 i assume you mean you are useing ICS (internet connection shareing).

sorry but it won't work with the ihug, you will need to use a proxy eg this one here (www.analogx.com)

154002 2003-06-21 20:52:00 ICS worked ok for me on Ultra Willie (1947)
154003 2003-06-21 22:37:00 Yes it was ICS that I was trying to use.

I've downloaded the proxy server and it works a treat.

Thanks for the help

154005 2003-06-22 06:41:00 Yep, the modem and satellite card was in a Win2k PC and networked to a machine on Win98SE. The 98SE machine could go online when the satellite card was functioning but not when the Win2k machine was connected just through the modem. I think this was because you could only allow ICS through one or the other. Willie (1947)
