154344 2003-06-23 01:49:00 Currently im using jv6 power tools to clean the registry, it seems to do the job ok but im not sure that it removes the entry?s it claims, dose anyone know a good tool to do the job of cleaning the registry... Failing this, I will just reinstall windows again. bliss (4037)
154345 2003-06-23 02:24:00 JV's RegCleaner is as searching as any registry cleaner I've tried. It finds more incorrect entries than either Nortons Utilities or SystemMechanic.

What is your problem that you are considering re-installing Windows?

Also which Windows?

154349 2003-06-23 03:45:00 Be careful of any service pack updates they are notorious for slowing down your PC , i always keep a compressed image of my C: drive using PowerQuest Drive Image 2002 so that a reinstall takes only about 10 mins kiwibeat (304)
154350 2003-06-23 04:21:00 Try using the disk cleanup tool supplied in windows .

Also you can clean out all files in c:\windows\prefetch as this can sometimes "clog" your system .
