If the answer is yes, could you suggest what breed of modem would be a good buy for the specs of my computer. Thanks Smurf |

| 154322 | 2003-06-23 01:09:00 | as long as you get a "hardware" modem, cost about $100 then you should be fine. if you cat a "soft" modem or winmodem, cost about $50 then you might be pushing your luck. and as for down load speed, a 56k modem will give you about 30% more speed. have fun and good luck |

| 154323 | 2003-06-23 01:13:00 | firstly how good is your phone lines? in town or in the sticks?? serial external around $150 new tho you if your lucky you may find a 56k isa modem which are cheaper. forget winmodems, it will be troublesome with your pc. |
