Microsoft retain the copyright for all their software, no matter how old, no matter that it can no longer be bought from them, no matter that it is no longer supported. Over the last 2 years or so they have actively closed down by way of legal threats those sites that used to offer old stuff for download, thus making the recycling of older computers that much more difficult if you go the Windows way. |
