| 154444 | 2003-06-24 01:01:00 | Lol Chill, I wasn't referring to you :D Just there seem to be some people who get quite annoyed about something so simple. He said the forum was american based, so I can't see anything wrong with that. No sense having americans surf all the way over to a nz forum for their answer? |

He said the forum > was american based, so I can't see anything wrong > with that . No sense having americans surf all the way > over to a nz forum for their answer? Oh come on . If he's trying to attract Americans why is he posting here? Just because it's hosted in the US doesn't make it a US site . Or do you think we have lots of mis-directed US folks here who are in dire need of redirection? This is a help site, so posting useful sites is par for the course . And ChatF1 and ImageF1 are great example sof sites that users here have done to provide functionality we don't - I've got no problem with that (so long as it's clear who runs what site, of course) . But promoting a site that appears to try and do exactly what we do - and even starting off by naming it PressF1 - strikes me as not really being within that definition . I wish him luck, but I'd prefer if he didn't use this site as a cheap advertisng spot, unless you'd like anyone who wants to promote their site, no matter what it's relevance, to start making threads . That's what ads are for . . . . |

| 154448 | 2003-06-24 02:16:00 | Censorship, ugh. Would rather see inappropriate posts locked out if deamed necessary by the mod's then they can still be seen and opinions formed on. As long as they're not illegal or obcene. Injudicious posts IMHO should be left to fall by their own merits. Using this forum for commercial purposes though, is entirely up to the discretion of the owners, IDG. Cheers Murray P |
