| 154453 | 2003-06-23 08:29:00 | hello, i am soon getting a replacement for my current hard disk and need to move the OS and the associated data/partitions to the new disk. I have access to another PC with 2 IDE channels spare so transfer is possible. here is the problem. On another disk (6gb) i have win98 which dual boots with win2k (on the 40GB) which is the disk i want to replace/upgrade with the new 80GB. How do i transfer the boot record and the OS itself ? Will win2k moan at me with a BSOD if i just ghost the drive partitions ? ideas ? |
