| 154191 | 2003-06-22 04:54:00 | I have a MS-6380E mobo and have recently updated the BIOS to the latest revision AMI BIOS 5.7 I would like to know if this update has given me any more upgrade options by way of CPU. I would like to put in a 333Mhz Athlon XP but am unsure if this board will support it - the FSB adjustment goes up to 220 and the BIOS info says highest processor speed is 3000MHz. I would like to put in some PC2700/DDR333 RAM and a new Athlon if possible. |

My question is that with the BIOS update would that bump the max CPU speed up to 166/333MHz? As I said earlier the mobo FSB can be adjusted from 100 - 220 - 133MHz being standard for my XP1800+. The KT333 northbridge can abviously handle 166/333MHz. Maybe I should just ask a shop to slam one in and see :D Thanks for the useless info. |

| 154194 | 2003-06-22 09:02:00 | If your fsb is 333Mhz then the board will take an Athlon XP (model10) with 333 fsb, I cant see what the problem is ?:| Here is the MSI website info on your board (www.msi.com.tw) , or at least a board with the same number. If you peruse the AMD site you will get all the tech info on the XP model 10 Athlon with 333mHz fsb. |

It is here (www.msi.com.tw %20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&NAME=MS-6380E) |
