| 154771 | 2003-06-24 11:28:00 | I am using a PIII 733Mz computer. I have a Maxtor 60G hard drive (master) and a Zip-100 drive (slave) connected to primary IDE channel and a DVD-ROM (master) with a Pansonic 24X CD-RW (slave) connected to the secondary IDE channel. It was OK running on Windows ME with Floppy drive as A:, Zip-100 as B:, DVD-ROM as G: and CD-RW as H: as hard drive partitioned as C:, D:, E: and F:. Yet with Windows XP Professional installed, things appeared different with the Zip-100 B: changed to G:, DVD-ROM became H: and CD-RW became I:. The B: for Zip-100 has gone and I cannot get any information from a zip disk inserted. I was able to eject a disk from the drive using the right button function clicking on the Zip-100 icon. What can I do to make the Zip-100 work under WinXP? Can anyone help? Many Thanks! |

| 154773 | 2003-06-25 01:13:00 | Sugest have a look at TROUBLESHOOTING WIZARD in www.iomega.com Have installed Zip-100 in XP Home Edition OK. During installation you should have specified drive to use otherwise it will use the CD Rom drive letter and move all later drives one letter down the alphabet as appears to have happened. Suggest check software downloads for Zip-100 for XP, if my memory if right the version is now 4.02 |
