154766 2003-06-24 10:57:00 I notice there was discussion about this in October last year. I have just got a warning from a colleague saying it may have been passed on to me and that Norton's does not pick it up. Now, I keep my Virus Protection up-to-date and wonder if the statement that it would not have been intercepted is true? As I type this I am running Nortons; I last did a full system scan about two weeks ago.
Need I be concerned?

It should pick it up because I just search my virus def & I have Norton's 2002 & it is listed there, so it should, so that statement is not true (I might be wrong here, but I don’t think so, do a search of your virus def & you should be able to find it listed there)

If you keep your Virus Protection up-to-date & you scan every few week then you should be safe.

Hope this helps.

154768 2003-06-24 11:25:00 Thanks, while I was waiting I went to the Symantic (?) web page because I couldn't find the virus/worm listed and I see that they put out a lookout for it theat the start of the month and I had 1. done a full system scan since then and 2. I am up-to-date so thanks for setting my mind to rest - your reply was appreciated. BernieL (1913)
154769 2003-06-24 11:26:00 have a look here: www.symantec.com You can do an online scan there as well gerrypics (323)
