154618 2003-06-24 02:29:00 Hi. I'm making up a site for a new customer, and I've got bogged down on the graphical theme - I'm really not a graphic designer by any stretch of the imagination, so I wondered if I could have an opinion on which of the following themes for this site visitors would prefer, eg aesthetics, load times etc.

Thx!

154619 2003-06-24 02:46:00 My personal opinion is the first page, the rest are too hard to read with the rippled background, and the second page the name blends in with it making it harder to read. You really don't want to draw attention away from what your visitors should see. Kame (312)

154625 2003-06-24 03:29:00 from my point of veiw i like the layout of number 2 but dont like the background ripple thing like the guys say.

154626 2003-06-24 03:46:00 Number 2 is my preference but I don't like the large sized text. This sized text takes up too much room and I have to scroll down to view the whole page - not good. The yellow text adds interest nicely. I am obviously outnumbered here, but I actually like the "ripple" background. If you wanted to you could have it around the edges as a kind of frame with the same colour, but plain background (as on site #1) for underneath the text. Another point to mention is that your menu of links looks out of place and unbalances the page tucked up in the left corner. You could drop that down to the middle of the page more or put a menu bar up along the top of the page to make it look better.

Just my thoughts.

154627 2003-06-24 04:00:00 Oh, I like the rippled background alright, but its harder to see the text IMHO :-) Chilling_Silently (228)
