| 155031 | 2003-06-25 09:07:00 | Got a Compaq v55 monitor, at switch on it makes a clicking noise, the power led flashes on and then off and that is all it will do. Is this a common fault?? Is there an easy fix?? Is it worth paying $ for a repair? Cheers |

You could buy another 2nd hand monitor for the price of repair which could be of the order of $80, more if a new line output transformer was required as they are $70-$80 or so. A month or 2 ago good 17" monitors at Turners auctions about 4 years old were going for $70, that gives you an idea of what can be obtained. |
