| 155015 | 2003-06-25 06:42:00 | Hi, In order to feed my Tech addiction, I was thinking that I might spend a bit of cash and get a ThermalTake Case, with a 420W p/s. Apparently the web site says it has seven case fans, ThermalTake XASER III V1420DAD. Has anyone got one of these? Any problems / raves? thanks Nic |

They have about that many fans and they are surprisingly quiet considering there are so many fans. Thermaltake are using low noise fans and they appear to be quite good. They have had no problems at all with the cases or powersupplies even with constant travelling to different Lans for gaming purposes and the fact the machines are overclocked to the max. And they are great looking cases as well which is a nice plus. | John Grieve (367)

Not to mention the weight, have you tried to lift one of the empty steel versions of this model ? | the highlander (245)
| 155019 | 2003-06-25 11:21:00 | Hi, It just so happens I too am looking at buying one on the new ThermalTake cases. So I Poped down to the local PC shop in Takapuna to see the case in Action. The test pc was using the Termaltake Case, P4 3 GHZ, I turned the fan speed to max via the extrnal fan speed controls... I am very happy to say..this workhorse was running very quite... |

Curious about price, since these cases are stocked by many people. What's the price elsewhere? I can buy them for $400 (inc freight to chch), can I can get a better price elsewhere? N |

| 155021 | 2003-06-25 13:58:00 | That price falls inside the range I have seen in Auck for them ($360-$430) and considering shipping costs is a fair deal. | John Grieve (367) | ||
| 155022 | 2003-06-25 20:54:00 | I suspect it shouldn't be to loud, as with seven fans at their lowest volume push a lot more air than one or two at full. But then again, maybe not... You'll probably have to see one set up to see if u like it. - David |
