Is it a worm or is WIN98SE getting a bit frisky.

Could "Connect at Startup" be located in the registry somewhere that I could change cause it really pisses me off.

I also remember a free little mini app that detected your TCP/IP ports and told you what was listening for a connection and stuff. But I cannot remember the site for it.

154868 2003-06-25 00:49:00 Not necessarily a worm. Some programs at startup can cause this. To probe your port and see what are open go to, scan.sygate.com.
Use a firewall, its also good to find out whats trying to access the net.

154869 2003-06-25 01:00:00 I use and recommend Zone Alarm, free for personal use, easy to set up and yes lets you know when some prog on your machine is trying to access the net. You can get it here (http://zonelabs.com) mark c (247)

154876 2003-06-27 00:33:00 If you're worried about a virus, goto http://www.housecall.antivirus.com

Otherwise, Try installing ZoneAlarm and monitor what attempts to get out.
Click Start
Run, and type:
msconfig
Check under the startup tab whats loading on boot :-)

Hope this helps

Cheers
