| 155725 | 2003-06-28 01:25:00 | Now that I've finally got XP (pro) installed I can see I'm gonna have a zillion questions! In msconfig I see a new tab called Services - there's a couple of dozen items in there all enabled by default - can I happily disable them all? I know I could do the trial and error thing, but there's so many and I thought someone will probably have a short answer. Thx! |

What the 'Black Viper' site fails to mention in their GAMING or SUPER TWEAK section is that if you disable (1) Security Accounts Manager (2) Remote Access Connection Manager (3) Security Accounts Manager (4)Telephony you wont be able to connect to the internet, for amongst other things, multiplayer gaming (??) Also you might want to leave the System Restore Service as Automatic too (don't disable). Cheers PF1 :-) |
