155426 2003-06-26 15:47:00 I have never seen a thread on pressF1 were someone has posted a computer or Internet problem and the largest feedback as been a go at English lesson,

You jokers that had a dig at me really need to look at yourself and focus on what this web site is all about "solving or taking about computer problems" and if you think I am going to read the contents of crap in my last thread, Go and jump in the lake.

And when you jokes stop abusing me I will put it behind me and move on.
and have a great day tomorrow,

Like you, my spelling and grammer has a lot to be desired . Like you i have been reminded of this publicly, in this very forum . While things still often have a lot to be desired i make an effort to ensure that people can at least understand what i mean . If i type something that is difficult to understand, i expect to be either ignored, corrected, or questioned as to what i actually meant . This is only to be expected .

I beleive we have a duty to be clear in this forum . We are after all publishing to the world with every post we make .

When people are critical of our language skills, let it be taken as constructive critisism, for usually that is how it was intended .

Remember that not all opinions are of value.
I re-read a posting of mine the other day and spotted three typos. I was horribly embarrassed but decided to try to ignore it. Luckily everyone else did too.
Remember, those that can, do. Those that can't become a critic.

155431 2003-06-26 23:16:00 Snarrrrl, rooooooaaaaar, groowwwl - you'll get that here. If you've ever taken note of the flame wars of the past, E.ric, you'll notice how childish the yappings of some posters are - the moral majority, the school ma'ams, the know-it-alls and the plain old uninformed - and they only make up a handful of the many that peruse this forum. Someone once said 'must be the moon' - it's not, it's just the general nonsense that is inherent in the psyche of the individuals concerned.

Don't let the b#@%$d's get you down.

155434 2003-06-27 00:02:00 E . ric,

I do understand how you feel when someone tries to say that he (she) doesn't understand what you are trying to say . But, one must be able to express oneself clearly in proper English (not necessarily 'good' English) so that others can understand the problems and try to solve it . I think communication is important in whatever we are doing in this world .

How is it possible for others to solve your problem(s) if they don't understand your problems? I think most of the participants in this Forum are just trying to have a better understanding of your problems so that they can (or try to) provide a solution to your problems . We don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings here . I belief we all have much better things to do than hurting others feelings . And, remember, this is a 100% free service!

155435 2003-06-27 00:06:00 Exactly!
Most n00b's get re-asked their system spec's, and asked to explain/expand on certain parts of their problems, but its nothing personal at all!
Its just other people trying to help :-)
