| 155946 | 2003-06-28 13:20:00 | I have very little knowledge about Laptop computers - can't afford to own one! Just for my knowledge, I would like to know (in general) whether a laptop computer can be connected to an external monitor and mouse? I do have brief encounters with laptops and found that the LCD screen is pretty small and the built-in 'mouse' is extremely difficult to maneuver. Unfortunately, have no chance to explore the above compatibility issues of this expensive toy. Thanks |

The only thing you have to watch when using a projector is the screen resolution, you may have to lower it for use with older data projectors. Yes and one the modes is also output to TV A note of interest here it is also possible to use externel keybaords using either the ps2 or usb inputs |

| 155953 | 2003-06-29 01:59:00 | if u only have one ps2 port. most makes, makes it possible to get a ps2 y splitter cable therefore u can use a ps2 mouse and ps2 keyb. cdrw/dvd reader combo is avaiable also the pricey dvd writer is found in higher end models. builtin modem, lan (1000 base), wireless lan and bluetooth (some models have most and some has all). also infra - red communications port. external monitor of couse.. usb too.., printer port and some has serial if u need that. most has tv out too. u do get use to the laptop keyb and monitor. i can touch type on it... i had to learn on the larger keyb first thou.. made the transition to the laptop easier ..... | 155954 | 2003-06-29 02:05:00 | Here's a related question. If you had a laptop, could you connect a cd car kit (the tape/headphone jack) from the laptop to the tape player in a car, and play MP3s the same way you would normally use a walkman with a car kit? Anybody tried this as an alternative to getting a CD player for the car? | Lizard (2409) | ||
