just out of interest, found it while reading the spybot news page, is it affiliated with it?

or an extra or an unknown thing? or a beware dont touch item?

I had a read of that news item on SpybotSD - Seach & Destroy.

The program Spyware Nuker is based on a hacked version of the Spybot-S&D database. Not suprisingly, the developers of Spybot are not pleased with this and according to the news item are about to sue Spyware Nuker.

The news item is old (back in Feb) so I don't know what the outcome was. 		Jen C (20)
155864 2003-06-28 12:18:00 ok did some digging and spybot can find it on your system if you download it, and tells you all about it not being a legal copy etc....

and also that spyware nuker thing is shareware it rings home and gives all this helpful information and it causes spam for miles.....

so i would recomend not to touch it...... now i have uninstalled it LOL

Too late I am afraid, if you have already started getting spam "for miles" you had better install something like Mailwasher. Uninstalling the program won't stop the spam from arriving

155867 2003-06-29 05:13:00 im not getting spam for miles just quoting what i read in a news page on it.

and have run spybot now that its working properly.

and i already have mailwasher.

i just said it causes spam for miles not i have spam for miles.

but its gone and i seem to be ok at moment.
