| 155841 | 2003-06-28 09:30:00 | Hey all. Umm, turned on the new computer and went to run the thing I use the most.... Half Life (Counter Strike, Day of Defeat... etc). But they don't want to run... I only get fps of 70 and then when I shoot it freezes or quits to the desktop. We are using a Creative Radeon 9800 PRO (128mb version). Any ideas? | JamesStewart (874) | ||
| 155842 | 2003-06-28 10:12:00 | Well thats a pretty impressive card you have there :p Is it only happening with half life? No other programs? Try installing half life again, into a dif directory. You may have some corrupt files etc. |

Try having a play with some of the sound settings . esp . turning off EAX/A3D (I think half-life supports it) . Do you have the latest half-life (& CS if your using it) patch installed? |
