| 155989 | 2003-06-28 22:56:00 | When I update NAV everything seems to go OK and the process appeares to complete with the dialogue box indicating this has been successful. When I check the reports screen of Nortons the number of viruses and date of the update suggests that the process did not work. While I get about this by copying the vir def from another source WHAT IS HAPPENING. I operate NAV2000, also I have prev reinstalled Nortons which may have caused a prob, also until these probs I have been a paid subsriber to the update process. I did look at PCWORLD database but it came up with 1500 entries - maybe my search technique - can someone help me avoid spending hours searching. | Denfinn (1658) | ||
| 155990 | 2003-06-28 23:25:00 | Hi Denfinn You might want to try this (service1.symantec.com P&stg=3&base=http://www.symantec) to see whether it helps. It is what Symantec recommends doing for any Live Update issue. |

You can find Norton products at Dick Smith Electronics and other shops which sell computer software. | Jen C (20) | ||
| 155992 | 2003-06-28 23:39:00 | do you use liveupdate or the auto update? if you use the auto update you need to run the live update. also the update may not acually be a virus update but a program update. sysmantec sometimes sneaks program updates into its virus updates. |
