155813 2003-06-28 08:32:00 Hi.
This may be a really dumb/simple question, so don't laugh!
I have a database of prices per part from a range of places.
All i wanna do, is add a % (GST) and a set amount ($10 shipping)
Its an excel database file.
How do I go about doing it?
Cheers

155814 2003-06-28 10:38:00 If your cost price is in eg cell B5 then - =(B5*1.125)+10 should do it. Robin S_ (86)
155815 2003-06-28 10:46:00 hi.
Only thing, i want to do prices in 5 columns, each about 20 rows deep - eg - 100 prices across 5 columns, 20 rows

155816 2003-06-28 23:58:00 Hi, Im not really sure what you are after as GST and shipping is not normally contained in the product prices for most businesses.

If you want to overwrite the existing product prices with a new figure that includes GST and + $10 then do the following...

1. In a blank cell type 1.125
2. Copy this cell
3. Select all the cells with prices
4. Select Edit-Paste Special and choose under the operation heading the option Multiply and click OK. Now all your prices include GST.
5. Overtype the cell with 1.125 with 10 and copy the cell
6. Select all the cells with prices
7. Select Edit-Paste Special and choose the option Add and click OK. Now all your prices have $10 added.
8 Delete the cell with 10

Hope this is what you were after.
