| 156170 | 2003-06-29 14:29:00 | Does anyone know if User Accounts in XP can behave differently when it comes to the speed of applications running? I have two user accounts, for myself and my wife. I have no problems with mine which is probably used the most along with the most memory hungry applications (Flash, Photoshop 7 etc). She uses Excel, Word and IE6 and thats about it! I have a Dell, 1.8Ghz, 512Mb RAM PC (if that helps diagnose the problem). Ive done the usual Defrag and Scandisks but still no change in the performance on her login. |

| 156174 | 2003-06-29 20:52:00 | It seems to be her applications as well. When shutting down from her login I get "Program not responding" - "End Now" messages. What I have done though is deleted her profile and recreated it from scratch. That seemed to have corrected it...for now! I just have to keep her away from Solitaire now! I will definately come back here if I need more advice! Thanks for replying!! |
