156158 2003-06-29 13:14:00 I used partition magic to create another boot drive for a 98 installation. Something went wrong in the restart and all my drive letters were gone. Looks like my mbr got really screwed. I still had 4 partitions, none of them bootable - "missing operating system". Used Win 2k emergency disks to try fixmbr and fixboot. Now I can boot my Win 2K partition but I get message missing file "ntoskrnl.exe". I tried to expand the file off the cd but the only dir I can see and get to is C:\WINNT, I can't get to the system32 dir.
Any ideas how to get this file off the cd and into the right dir?

156159 2003-06-29 13:33:00 Boot to your CDRom with win2k cd, as you did to fix MBR and choose repair or restore (can't remeber which) there will be an option to fix file by file or let windows choose.

Win2k will dual boot with 98 without having to use Partition Magic you might need to alter boot.ini to do it on another parition tho,

Since access to Windows 2000 is not possible, either reinstall (doing a repair) or try here (http://bootdisk . com/) .
