| 156108 | 2003-06-29 06:37:00 | Recently added a type 1(?) usb card to an old P200 10 gig HD 64mb ram running W98SE.When I connect any usb type hardware the computer only shows unknown device mgr.Plug n Play doesn't appear even though I installed the relative drivers etc.Yes PnP is enabled in the BIOS.When W98 was installed there was no usb card & I thought I may have to run it for the usb to work but no.Is usb &W98 incompatable or is there something else I have to do? | amyes5 (2773) | ||
| 156109 | 2003-06-29 06:53:00 | What happens if you right click on the unknown device and say update driver - does it work then? Also, not sure if some USB cards come with a driver card themselves - have you installed the drivers for the PCI card? Hope this helps, Nic |
